There was a Pan Pan for an overdue solo sailor from Mimico. An observant member of TOWARF had previously spotted the
vessel leaving Oakville Harbour and confirmed its identity with a local club. This resulted in finding the overdue vessel.
7-Aug The Rescue Boat assisted
Halton Police Marine Unit in closing Oakville Harbour while Oakville Fire and the Ministry of the Environment investigated
a fuel spill.
The Callout Crew was activated at 2 in the morning by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre to assist a stranded fisherman
with no VHF radio – only a cellphone. The crew searched for the vessel, located him and towed him to Bronte. The tasking
was finished by 6 a.m. just in time for our volunteers to head out for their day jobs!

Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary vessel on Lake Erie was dispatched and towed the distress vessel to a safe haven.

from an Oakville homeowner that a 38 foot sailboat was aground. The Rescue Boat was dispatched, refloated it and escorted
the vessel to harbour. This was done on a courtesy basis.
